**ASSA ABLOY Inventory & Operations Planning Specialist**
Located in Kent, Washington (hybrid - remote/onsite position), this role reports to the ASSA ABLOY FlashShip Program Manager working with a team responsible for FlashShip and Arrow Lock and Hardware inventory, planning and operational success. This position will lead inventory planning, purchasing and supplier relations for ASSA ABLOY FlashShip and Arrow Express programs. In addition to inventory planning and operations support, this role will also serve as a lead for special projects within the FlashShip and Arrow Lock business units.
The ideal candidate will have a detail-oriented work ethic with a passion for collaboration to build new ways to address challenges and opportunities. This role will require hands on tactical execution in addition to strategic thinking abilities. Ideal candidate will have a background in inventory analysis/planning and/or distribution or warehouse operations. The program(s) that this individual will support are best in class, consistently growing at double-digit rates, obtaining investment from corporate leadership and expanding to new locations throughout the United States.
**Responsibilities:**
* Serve as the primary lead for communication and collaboration with internal and external US and International Suppliers
* Prepare necessary purchase orders with all related documentation from US and International suppliers to ensure required material is received on schedule to support operations and customer OFR (order fill rate) goals
* Analyze inventory and sales trends to recommend expansion, removal and optimization of inventory for multi-site national distribution program (currently 7 with expansion plans underway)
* Work closely with local site Supervisors and factories on inventory planning and transfer strategies, identify improvement areas and implement best practices
* Work closely with Receiving / Accounts Payable teams to resolve invoice discrepancies
* Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships that provide new ideas, solutions, and resources for improvement on lead time and delivery of goods and services they are providing
* Lead and participate in special projects, including but not limited to: order management, eCommerce initiatives, key customer coordination and planning, product data improvement, distribution operation improvement, participation in Lean, 5S and Kaizen projects, etc
**Requirements:**
* Bachelor degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
* Experience with MRP system, preferably JDE
* Experience with LEAN principles and application
* A minimum of 3-5 years of supply or operations management experience in a high volume manufacturing or distribution environment
* Strong negotiation and communication skills
* Analytical and problem solving skills
* Strong Microsoft Excel skills
* Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint
* Self-starter who wants to be a part of building better programs to service internal and external customers
* US based travel up to ~10%
